When you have deep-rooted emotions of guilt, shame, grief, sadness, anger, or hurt, it holds you in a constant negative mindset. It triggers uncomfortable feelings of anxiety and stress that you naturally want to put a stop to. So you primitively create ‘fear’ to take you away from any feelings of discomfort. This is when you sacrifice the things you want for immediate and short-term ‘comfort.’

You must understand that fear is normal and essential to preparation, safety and survival. But it’s only when your emotions become imbalanced and chronic that the feeling of fear is unnecessarily blown out of proportion.

So it’s crucial to identify and determine when, how and why you developed these negative emotions and deal with them head-on.
